COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Community Development at Tl’etinqox supports the wellbeing of individuals, families, and the community through culturally grounded, prevention focused programs and services. The department works with children, youth, adults, Elders, and families to strengthen wellness, connection, and resilience.

Community Development delivers services within Tl’etinqox traditional territory, including in-community programming, and also provides support to members living or accessing services in Williams Lake. Where programs intersect with child and family services, the work is guided by Tsilhqot’in law and Tl’etinqox community standards, and delivered in a way that protects cultural identity, family connection, and community responsibility.

Guided by the Tl’etinqox Practice Framework, Community Development focuses on relationship building, cultural safety, and supporting long term community wellbeing.
